Campus Tour

Prior to 2004, Flat Rock Homes' facility consisted of several old buildings with inadequate heating and numerous accessibility issues.  Some buildings had 22 steps from the first floor (living areas) to the second floor (sleeping areas).  These buildings had dormitory style showers and allowed minimal personal privacy for the residents.

In 2004, Flat Rock Homes opened their new facility.  This new facility includes six individual residences, a courtyard, therapeutic center, sensory rooms, Nursing Department, Ancillary/Dietary services, and administrative offices, all under one roof. 

Residents and staff are able to enjoy a totally handicapped accessible facility with wide hallways, handrails and automatic door openers. 

Residents can enjoy nicely furbished, accessible homes where they can visit one another through an inter-connecting hallway.
