Quilt Auction

Flat Rock Homes has held several quilt auctions as fund raisers to aid in serving children, adolescents and adults who are mentally retarded/developmentally disabled. All profits from the auction are used to cover essential costs for care and therapeutic treatment for the individuals who reside at Flat Rock.

Many donors donated their talents and skills in making these Quilt Auctions successful. The auctions included full-size quilts, baby quilts, table runners, wall hangings, lap quilts and others, and techniques used included hand quilted, hand pieced, hand appliqued, machine quilted, machine pieced and machine appliqued. These quilts were donated by church groups and individual donors from across the State of Ohio.

The 2007 Quilt Auction was hosted by Rocky River United Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon, October 21st. Quilts were previewed at 1:00 pm and the auction began at 3:00 pm. It was so much fun people are still talking about it.
